Peñarol single leader of Clausura

Peñarol thrashed Racing last Sunday 3-0 in the third day of the Uruguayan Clausura, leaving as the sole top spot in the second stage of the championship. 

The other matchups played on Sunday, Danube and Liverpool drew 2-2. Athens, on his side beat visitors Tacuarembo 2-0. On Saturday, the fight over the first part of the third date, Nacional fell at home to Defensor Sporting by 0-1. Meanwhile, Rampla Juniors beat River at home to 2-1. Central Español fell at home for 1-2 before Cerro Largo and Cerrito was thrashed at home by Cerro for 1-4. Fenix beat Wanderers 2-1.
