800 Policemen will Provide Security During Handover

The Interior Ministry submitted a news conference, the broad outlines of the security operation for next Monday, on the occasion of the inauguration of Jose Mujica as president. There will be 800 police officers, focused on two major operations: providing security during the handover ceremony, and perform the custody of the 16 foreign delegations participating in the event.
On Monday, there will be two zones: one will be in Plaza Independencia, where you can not travel from 11 am on Sunday, and the other near the Legislative Palace, which closes to traffic on Monday 1st, about 10 o'clock.
José Mujica and Danilo Astori will leave the Legislative Palace; take Avenida del Libertador until 18 de Julio avenue until Plaza Independencia.
