Montevideo Inspectors Will Inspect

Thursday, 18 February 2010 07:29

After an extensive Adeom assembly, inspectors resolved to obey the order written last week by the Mayor Ricardo Ehrlich requiring inspectors fill the role. Facundo Cladera of Adeom said that before the written order sent to the inspectors about meeting the audit, "there was no choice to go out and do the job," he said.
The decision of traffic inspectors to go out to audit, as of next Tuesday, cars with patents registered in the interior, was taken after four hours of discussion. At times there were serious verbal clashes between several municipal inspectors, not wanting to monitor, and the Board of Adeom, who was in favor of reaching an agreement with the municipal authorities.
The resolution to comply with the order of the capital's mayor, Ricardo Ehrlich, was accepted by 43 inspectors to 23. The Quartermaster had threatened to take various administrative sanctions to those inspectors who do not heed orders to
oversee the capital's mayor leave .
It was clarified that inspectors will not be paid commission on fines applied, and will automatically stop monitoring whether any of them suffers some sort of physical assault from the victims. It was not said when work will materialize but it is estimated that next week city officials will beguin the task.
