Large Price Difference Between Identical Products in Different Locations

The last monitoring by Area Consumer Advocate revealed major differences between certain products, depending on where you buy them. A package of dried noodles can be worth 15.90 but also 34 pesos. All prices are available to the consumer to be informed before going shopping.
Data were collected by the Information System Consumer Price: values were relieved of 122 products / brands of 48 items in stock in 322 shops across the country. We compared the data from December 2009 to January 2010 and found that 83 items increased on average by 1.4%, while in 37 products decreased in value by an average of 1.1% and two products, the price remained.
The report also has a retail price for individual products. The Consumer Advocate Area compared according to where they were purchased.

White rice (Blue Patna) - 16.90 to 34 pesos

To find out how specific products on all establishments in the area, enter the website of the Information System of Consumer Prices (http://www.dgc-mef.gub.uy/consultas/almacen/porProducto/ bi /). You must select the communal area where you shop and choose the product. The results will inform the various prices and addresses of each business premises.
The monitoring also indicated an increase in the basic food basket from 0.9%. Furthermore, it showed the extreme prices of a basket: Punta del Este costs 2.817.7 pesos and Libertad, San Jose, leaves 2.127.4 pesos.
