The president-elect Jose Mujica, will deepen the work of specialized cabinets to address specific issues and so organize the work of government. On Tuesday, the future president, along with the next vice president, Danilo Astori, led two meetings with ministers appointed in productive and social
areas.
Upon leaving the meeting, Astori confirmed that they will continue with meetings of the Councils of Ministers but also the different cabinets-productive, social, security and technology innovation - will meet twice a month. Mujica told his ministers the way work should be organized, but without losing "spontaneity." Therefore, he added, "they should meet when they want to."
The purpose of these initial meetings, that will be repeated in February, is to define the basic guidelines for each area, said Astori.
