Multiparty Energy Commission reached a final agreement on energy policy. "There is greater willingness to share certain basic agreements to proceed for Uruguay to move ahead, told Mrs Susana Dalmás to Montevideo Portal. Among the major agreements highlights the universal access to energy and information to make good decisions in the management of energy resources. There will also be emphasis on promoting rail freight, public transport more efficient to discourage personal transport and promote alternatives to fossil fuels.
The Frente Amplio deputy, Susana Dalmas, said "It's a new stage because for a government period ending we have all learned and the opposition, which had in their imagination that the left could govern effectively and with an absolute majority today it has integrated to reality as something happening, so there is greater willingness to share certain basic agreements for Uruguay to go forward." The deputy added that all parties are realizing the need to make policies that are acquiring a country, not for a period of government or party.
