The president-elect Jose Mujica, arranged a meeting on Monday with all ministers and deputy to outline the priorities for the next Budget Law. At the meeting, to be held in the area of Rincon del Cerro, near his ranch, criteria of work to be followed from March first and define possible measures to implement immediately, will also be adjusted.
This weekend, speaking at the Commemoration of the 39th anniversary of the Frente Amplio, Mujica said "change the country without going back." The future president said last Saturday at Prado, that the political force that did not belong to this committee "accounts receivable".
The president of the Frente Amplio, Jorge Brovetto, explained that the nearly 40 years of the party, which officially was born February 5, 1971, which would have meant really has been "a transformation in the way of leading the country and its destiny."
"In the FA came together very different actors, but with the idea of transforming the conception of the country to make it fairer, more democratic and participatory, in which the intelligence and effort were the essential argument for transformation," said Brovetto. "Born in dictatorship, and there was a force of confrontation to authoritarianism. With democracy became an opposition force purposeful. When reached the Government became a force for revolutionary change, to promote democracy, health, housing and the work of the Uruguayans," he said.
According to the leader, the greatest danger facing the party is to become "a party of government with ruling party features", but its heterogeneous composition and its "horizontality" make it difficult.
