The Departmental Committee of the Socialist Party (PS) resolved unanimously to submit the name of Daniel Martínez as candidate for Montevideo Town Hall (IMM). The name of Martínez was being managed so far to the Ministry of Industry.

MPP seeks re-election of Ricardo Erlich while Asamblea Uruguay proposes Deputy Carlos Varela to be the candidate for the FA stores. However, FA will convene a departmental plenary before the end of January to solve both problems: the departmental government program and the candidacy.
