Rodriguez Considered Logic That Mujica did Not Mention People’s Assembly in his Speech

Thursday, 03 December 2009 09:01

The leader of People's Assembly, party that took 0, 57% of the votes in the first round, Raul Rodriguez said it did not surprised him that Mujica did not mention his party in the speech after the victory in the ballot. Nor was he surprised not to be called for a meeting as the leaders of other parties were. According to Rodriguez, "Mujica knows that is against the interests he represents.”

The leader of People’s Assembly said that between his party and the FA there could never be any dialogue as they are in the “antipodes”.

According to Rodriguez, Mujica used to be like them and now he is within the capitalist system: He was so like us and now he says it took him 30 years to realize. What did he realized after 30 years? What had a greater struggle against the capitalist system, which can solve the problems of the Uruguayan people from that system?"
