BCU: Dollar Assets Rose

Reserve assets increased by $ 55 million during January. The monetary balance released by the Central Bank of Uruguay (BCU) reported that as of January 31ST reserve assets reached 8.041 billion dollars.

The monthly increase was mainly due to foreign exchange purchases of the Central Bank totaled $ 367 million. In December, the reserve assets raised $ 36 million.
