Drug: Six Accused

Friday, 02 April 2010 10:13

On Thursday six people were indicted with imprisonment for drug trafficking, after police seized from them 180 kilos of cocaine, which were thrown from an airplane in a field of Cerro Largo. The judge who specializes in organized crime, Jorge Diaz confirmed that this is 5 men, one of them Colombian, and one woman.
The business was driven from the prison of Liberty by a prisoner who was already prosecuted for drug trafficking. Diaz said the operation began two months ago when it was learned that this prisoner had contacts with Bolivia and planned to bring more drugs from that country. Diaz noted that several phones were intervened, allowing them to be aware of the maneuver. A seventh man was released by the absence of proof which related him to the case.
