The three involved in the kidnapping and murder of Pascual Ferriz declared today before the criminal judge of 1st Term, Juan Carlos Fernandez Lecchini. Two of them served on the National Police Academy and admitted, qualified, their participation in the offense.
Fernandez Lecchini said, is in the preliminary stage of research, so that was attributed to the accused, in provisional form, the offense of especially aggravated murder for the killing of the businessman, initially responds to economic reasons. "What you do is notify the prosecution. It is a process that remains firm and opened a testing stage for the defenses and then move on to the prosecution and, eventually, to the sentence. The motivation is economic, in principle, subject to another that may arise in the future" said Fernandez Lecchini.
The body of Ferriz, a trader of 74 years dedicated to the purchase and sale of agricultural machinery, was unearthed from the pit in which it was affixed by his killers in the town of Villa del Carmen Durazno. The dealer knew one of his murderers, who had worked for him several times in repair of vehicles. To that end, is that Ferriz went to his house, in the area of Toledo, where he was abducted and reduced in a van. According to research, he was killed shortly after arriving at the camp where he was buried. The criminals demanded $ 300,000 for the release of the trader, but from the beginning had decided his death. Even before kidnapping him last Wednesday, they had where to bury him.
Even if it has not been yet formally established, Fernandez Lecchini said Ferriz's body showed signs of beatings and stab wounds. "At this stage is not yet known, but one of the stab wounds was probably the cause of death" he said.
